We quote on the full job, not just the laser cutting. That means we look at material choice, artwork prep, production time, finishing, assembly and courier packing if your order is travelling to Cape Town, Paarl, Hermanus or anywhere else in South Africa. How We Price Custom Work
Every order is different, so the estimate depends on the size of the item, the number of copies, the amount of detail and the finish you want. A small name plaque for a home office will be priced differently from a layered shop sign or a set of 50 wedding table markers. Bulk runs usually lower the unit cost, while one-off pieces need more setup time.

What Happens After You Send the Enquiry
Once your enquiry comes through, Lesedi and the client services team review the details and direct it to the right production path. Marli can handle the design side, Shailen checks laser cutting requirements and Ruan looks at finishing and assembly where needed. If the order is going out by courier, Leah will factor in packing and dispatch timing.
For straightforward requests, we can usually respond with a clear estimate after confirming the measurements and artwork. More detailed jobs may need a short check on materials or a prototype sample first. If your order needs to go to a wedding venue, shop opening or corporate event, please mention the delivery date and any access rules so we can plan properly.
Lead Times, Rush Orders and Collection
Lead times depend on the size of the order and how busy the production calendar is. Small gift items can move quickly, while layered signs, bulk event sets and branded pieces may need extra time for cutting, finishing and drying. In summer, coastal humidity around Somerset West and Strand can also affect drying times, so we plan carefully when sealing or painting wood.
If you need a rush order, say so in the first message. We will confirm whether the timing is possible before you commit. Collection from our Somerset West base is available when arranged, and courier delivery can be organised for Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Durbanville, Gordon's Bay, Paarl, Hermanus and further afield. Please allow extra time for remote towns and busy courier periods around month-end and holiday seasons.
