Wooden pieces cut for real spaces and real use
LaserCrafts designs and laser-cuts personalised wooden pieces that suit homes, shops, offices, weddings and event venues. Our work covers small gift items, statement wall pieces, directional signs, layered branding, table numbers, welcome boards and custom decor for indoor and covered outdoor use. If you need one special item or a full run for a function or store, we can produce it to size with the wording, shape and finish you want.
We work mainly in wood because it gives warmth, good detail and a natural look that suits both modern and classic spaces. Our team also handles engraving, assembly and finishing, so the final piece arrives ready to use. Clients often come to us with a rough idea, a sketch, a reference photo or plain wording and we help turn it into something practical. In Somerset West and the broader Helderberg area, many orders are made for schools, boutiques, estates, guesthouses and family events where presentation matters and timing is tight.
What we supply for homes, events and businesses
Our range is broad enough for gifting, decor and business use, but every item is still made to order. We do not treat personal gifts and commercial signage the same way. A wedding welcome sign needs a different finish from a shop nameboard, and a nursery plaque needs different attention from a bulk corporate order. That is why we handle the full process from design through to packing.
- Personalised gifts for birthdays, weddings, new homes and thank-you packs
- Laser-cut signs for entrances, reception areas, rooms and event spaces
- Layered wooden branding pieces for shops, stalls and product displays
- Engraved items with names, dates, quotes or company details
- Bulk order production for staff gifts, events and promotions
- Prototype samples before larger production runs
- Assembly, sanding, finishing and careful courier packing
We also make event signage sets and interior branding pieces for clients who want the same visual style across a venue or retail space. If the order needs repeat items, we keep the layout consistent so everything matches on the day.
How we work from first enquiry to final packing
Most clients reach us through the enquiry form on our contact page, then we take the brief forward from there. We look at the size needed, the wording, the style, the wood type and the finish, then we advise on what will work best for the purpose and budget. If the request is for a function or a business launch, we also consider lead time, transport and whether the item will stand on a table, hang on a wall or travel by courier.
Our process is straightforward. Design Consultant Marli Botha helps shape the layout, while Shailen Perumal runs the laser machine and Ruan Nel handles finishing so the edges, joins and surfaces are neat. Lesedi Ramaboa manages client communication, and Leah Jacobs takes care of dispatch and courier coordination. Anele Ndlovu oversees production planning, which helps keep larger batches moving without missed details. It is a practical setup, and it matters when a client needs 30 gifts for an end of year function or a custom sign ready for a weekend wedding in the Cape Winelands.
